Description
The TaylorMade P8CB Midnight Obsidian Irons combine one-piece S25C soft carbon steel forging with a refined tour-inspired profile and enhanced forgiveness. A ceramic core, perimeter weight distribution, and Speed Sole Design improve stability, turf interaction, and consistency while maintaining the soft feel expected from a premium forged iron.
Features & Benefits
- Compact Grain Forging: Uses high-purity S25C soft carbon steel forged under 2,000 tons of pressure across five stages to create a dense structure and deliver a soft, refined feel.
- One-Piece Forged Construction: Features a forged S25C body with additional mass thickened behind the head to improve the connection between impact feel and feedback.
- Ceramic Core: A lightweight ceramic core positioned in the center of the head allows excess weight to be redistributed around the perimeter for improved forgiveness and reduced twisting on off-center strikes.
- Extended Blade Length: Features an 80 mm blade length, the longest in the P Series, to provide a larger address profile and added confidence while retaining a tour-inspired shape.
- Speed Sole Design: Combines an optimized-bounce midsole, curved leading edge, and reduced-contact trailing edge to improve turf interaction across different lies and swing angles.
- Precision Machine-Milled Face: Works with the sole design to maintain appropriate spin levels and produce more consistent ball flight.
- Midnight Obsidian Finish: Features a sophisticated dark finish with refined detailing, creating a premium appearance while retaining the performance-focused design.
